A fantastic time meeting and photographing this wonderful family at San Diego’s Balboa Park. Here are a few highlights from our photography session.
An awesome time at San Diego’s Balboa Park photographing the Reyes family!
Yrsina is a professional photographer and owns YC Photography. I’ve known her for many years so when she asked if I could film her wedding there was just no saying ‘No’! LOL!
It was one of those rare rainy Southern California days and on that morning it was coming down in sheets. Many of us felt the rain may not stop until the following day and there was great concern for their outdoor ceremony at Balboa Park’s iconic Alcazar Garden. However, Yrsina had faith and she told me God would not let her down and – sure enough – at 4pm the clouds parted and at 5pm we had a perfect outdoor wedding ceremony.
Part One. Yes, you heard that right ‘Part One’. We’d planned to start at Balboa Park – for their Balboa Park Engagement session – and then head to downtown San Diego for Part Two. However, it got cold and – honestly – we cannot solely blame it on some chilly weather (even though the clouds were promising some kind of rain fall). No, actually we we’re having such a good time at Balboa Park we out ran out of time! Alas, we are currently scheduling Part Two but for now here are some highlights from Part One! Enjoy.
Yeah, I know: a little Abbey Road’ish, but – hey – it’s my shoot and I like that crosswalk!
Because I’m all about photobombing my own shot when an iPhone is used to perfect tying ones own tie. Shhh! We all changed our clothes in a fairly public corner of the park. Don’t tell anyone okay?
