They came from all over the United States to meet up a La Jolla’s iconic La Valencia. I was able to spend a few hours with this wonderful family and take some traditional family photographs before they headed off to celebrate a 50th Anniversary!
Annually a group of us get together to run video production on Spirit West Coast. The majority of the day I’m setting up cameras, pulling cable and testing the tools that will be used. However, when I wasn’t working the gig I tried to take a few behind the scenes photos as well as some pictures of the performers from an angle behind the stage that the ticket holder will never see.
Testing the lights.
Two of the main cameras at the very back of the arena.
Behind the stage these crew members will be busy swapping gear as one band leaves and the other sets up.

Everyone had a fabulous time at Laila’s First Birthday Party at Terra Nova Park in Chula Vista. It was one of those rare Southern California weather events as hurricane Delores unleashed thunder, lighting and over an inch of rain in one day. However, as the afternoon wore on the clouds parted a bit and we finished strong. It’s a good thing Laila’s parents secured the big gazebo!
The birthday girl at various stages of her party! I think she likes cake.
